Ruby Inez Oellerich Dennis, 82, entered into rest peacefully at her home in Martinez on Saturday, July 9th, 2022.

She was born in Augusta on February 17th, 1940, to Robert Oellerich and Anita Bohler Oellerich.

She was raised on Cooper Street in Frog Hollow and attended the Academy of Richmond County. Ruby was an active mom who enjoyed spending time with her children, younger brother, and many nieces and nephews.  Ruby worked for the Department of Defense at Fort Gordon, Georgia and later the Internal Revenue Service in Jacksonville, Florida. She retired in 2005 and returned to live in Martinez, Georgia. Ruby loved family history, traveling, shopping at thrift stores, cooking, and gardening.

In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Les Dennis; her sister, Jean Estep; and son, Richard Dennis.

She is survived by two sons, Earl Dennis (Mary) and Adam Dennis; three daughters, Becky Padgett (Herb), Jennifer Knight, and Alice Calloway (Doug); brother, Bob Oellerich (Lisa); nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held from 3:00 - 5:00pm on Friday, July 22, 2022, at Thomas L. King Funeral Home, 124 Davis Road, Martinez, GA 30907.
