NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mrs. Ruby Newsome Hoover, 86, wife of Belton Hoover, Jr., entered into rest Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at her residence. She is the daughter of the late Sim and Ada Whitaker. Mrs. Hoover worked at Joseph Lamar School in Augusta as a cafeteria assistant for 8 years and was a member of North Augusta Church of Christ. She loved her church, her friends, and enjoyed cooking and fishing. Graveside services will be held in Hillcrest Memorial Park on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Adam Ellis officiating. Family and friends will gather at the cemetery. Mrs. Hoover was preceded in death by a daughter, Glenda Quails and a grandson, Daniel Allen. Survivors include her husband, Belton Hoover, Jr., a daughter, Nell Allen; a step-daughter, Ann Kruth; 2 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 3 brother-in-laws; 3 sister-in-laws; 2 special friends, Joyce Thompson and Gwen Brisco; and numerous nieces and nephews.
