Robert Rogers January 28, 1933 - August 8, 2018 Martinez, GA- Entered into rest on August 8, 2018 Mr. Robert Luther Rogers husband of the late Caroline F. Rogers of Martinez, Ga.. Mr. Rogers was retired from the Army and the Air Force Reserves and had served during the Korean conflict. He was a Master Gardener and a Master Mason. His favorite saying was "Hang in there like a hair in a biscuit". Survivors include one son Fredrick Rogers of Augusta, Ga., one daughter Janet Ruth Rogers of Martinez, Ga., one brother Thomas Rogers of Moultrie, Ga., two sisters his twin Betty Lee Taylor of Cairo, Ga. and Peggy Price of Cairo, Ga., five grandchildren and one great grandchild. The family would like to thank his special caregivers Shotci, Eddie and Daniel Weigle and the staff at Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home (Blue Goose). The funeral service will be held Monday August 13, 2018 at 11:00 am at Bellevue Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with full military honors. There will be no visitation.
