Obituary

Robert David Rinker passed unexpectedly Monday, May 15th in Augusta, Georgia at the age of 56. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he is survived by his wife of thirty-five years Teddiann Rinker; three children David Rinker of Augusta, Eric Rinker and wife Bonnie of Augusta, Melanie York and husband Will of Columbia, South Carolina; two sisters, Elaine Cadle and husband Chuck of Evans, Georgia, Donna Cannon and husband Clyde of Martinez, Georgia; three grandchildren, Robert 'Tommy' Rinker, Aubreigh Shay York, and Olivia Rose Rinker. He is preceded in death by his parents, John D. Rinker and wife Dorothy, and brother Thomas Mark Rinker. David was born on March 1, 1961 in Augusta, GA to John and Dorothy Rinker. He graduated Aiken Technical College with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He married Teddiann Wise, his high school sweetheart in 1981. After travelling and working in nuclear plants around the country for a decade, he returned to his home of Augusta to work at Augusta University Health as a Senior Project Manager. An accomplished guitarist with a passion for music, he also enjoyed camping and travelling in his RV. The visitation will be held Monday, May 22nd at 5-7 P.M. at King's Funeral Home, 124 Davis Rd., Augusta, GA, with the service being held there at 11 A.M. the following day, Tuesday, May 23rd with Reverend Charlie DeLoach officiating. Pall bearers will be Eric Rinker, Will York, Greg Hammick, Daryl Bullock, Reuben Carver, Hubert Chastain, Eugene 'Rooster' Williamson, and Steve Hawkins. Thomas L.
