Robert Ernest Quarles, 79, of Harlem, passed away on January 15, 2026. 

Robert retired from K-Mart with over 46 years, he would then go on to drive for the Columbia County School District before his retirement. He was a simple man who enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and will be deeply missed. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Waverly Ernest Quarles and Louise Quarles; and his brother, Raymond Quarles. 

Survivors include his children, Jeffery Quarles (Molly), Julie Colley (James), and Janice Quarles Symms; his siblings Ronald Quarles, and Rose Marie Shirey (Tommy); 5 grandchildren, Dayna Symms, Heather Colley, Michael Colley, Baylie Symms, and Kendall Quarles; as well as numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members. 

The family will have a private service at a later time.
