Robert Lee Fields, 65 of Martinez, Georgia entered into rest June 20, 2021. Robert was born January 1, 1956 in Augusta, Georgia. He was the beloved son of the late Bobby Lee Fields and Shirley Ann Minyard Fields. He was a lifelong resident of Martinez, Georgia and worked his entire life as a carpenter by trade. His most proud work, however, was being a faithful and loving caregiver to his mother. Robert's dedication to her is to be commended and he certainly leaves behind big shoes to be filled. He was by his mother's side right up to the moment the Lord said, "Well done, my good faithful servant. Enter into the joy of thy Lord."

Robert is preceded in death by his father Bobby Lee Fields and is survived by his mother, Shirley Fields, a sister Debra McGahee (Jimmy), a brother David "Pete" Fields (Vicki Law), a nephew Hunter Fields (Morgan) and nieces Meagan McGahee and Summer Fields (Scott Des Marais).

Robert was of Christian faith and grew up in service at Hope Chapel in Augusta, Georgia. Services are scheduled for Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Thomas L. King Funeral Home, 124 Davis Road, Martinez, Georgia. Visitation will begin at 10:00 followed by service in King's Chapel at 11:00 and interment immediately afterwards at Bellevue Memorial Gardens located at 4501 Wrightsboro Road, Grovetown, Georgia.
