Robert Edward Taylor, 76, entered into rest on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Marie Taylor; daughters, Teresa Annette Taylor (Jerry Sloan) and Robin Jagnandan (Johan); granddaughters, Brianna Taylor (Marquise) and Delainey Sloan; and his siblings, Ann Rosier (Jim) of Evans GA, Duane Taylor (Nancy) of McBean GA, Beverly Miller of Augusta GA, and Cindy Haynes (Gary) or Harnett NC. He is preceded in death by his father, Dial Silas Taylor; his mother, Mary Helen Saxon Napier; stepfather, Lonnie Alfred Napier; and his sister, Betty Jane Key.

After being a plumber for 56 years, he retired from Hardy Plumbing Company at the age of 70. Bobby was hardworking, and he was a devoted husband, father, and Poppy. He was a Baptist by faith. He loved playing pool in the CSRA Pool League, hanging with his many friends, and watching the Georgia Bulldogs.

Bobby was loved and respected, and will be missed by all who knew him.

The family would like to express a special thanks to Empyrean Hospice for their kindness and care, and to sister-in-law Brenda Blitchington for her devotion and support this past year.

Visitation will be held from 7:00 - 9:00pm on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Thomas L. King Funeral Home, 124 Davis Road, Martinez GA 30907. Funeral services will held at 11:00am on Friday, January 5, 2024, in the chapel at Bellevue Memorial Gardens, 4501 Wrightsboro Road, Grovetown GA 30813, with Chief David Dickenson officiating with Rev. Wayne Cheselka and Rev. Stephen A. Hughes, and with interment immediately following in the mausoleum. The family will receive friends  in the chapel at Bellevue Memorial Gardens one hour prior to service time.

Those serving as pallbearers will be Michael Key, Richard Dickenson, Justin May, Duane Taylor Jr., Charlie Cook, and Jamie Key. Honorary pallbearers will be the local plumbers who he worked with and who have been very supportive during this time.
