Robert "Dan" Daniel Scott passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023, while working on his jobsite in Dublin, Georgia. Dan was born on May 10, 1973 in New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana. He was the son of James Gordon Scott, Sr. and the late Helen Elizabeth Ball Storrs. Dan worked as a journeyman in the sheet and metal works and was a member of the union. Dan leaves behind his wife of 25 years, Mrs. Linda Mae Herrin Faircloth Scott; four children, Dylan J. Herrin (Erika), Brandy L. Herrin, Mitchell D. Herrin (Alyssa), and Jadie L. Herrin (Wendy); his brother, James Gordon Scott Jr. (Elena); and his sister, Melissa Elizabeth Scott. Dan and Linda have made their home in Augusta, Georgia for the past 15 years. His wife, Linda, was born and raised in Augusta, Georgia. Dan was a deep thinker and a very spiritual man who loved God, family, and friends. No man could ever love his family more than Dan. His hobbies included fishing, riding motorcycles, working with his hands doing repair work, enjoying foods of different nationalities, cooking out, and spending time with his family. Dan was a man of many talents who always enjoyed helping out friends and family in times of need.

A memorial service will be held on at 2:00pm on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, in the chapel at Thomas L. King Funeral Home, 124 Davis Road, Martinez, GA 30907. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service time.
