Richard Edgar "Ricky" Malin Sr., 69, entered into rest on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Mr. Malin, son of the late Julius Malin and the late Maude Stephens Malin, was born in Augusta, Georgia, and remained a lifelong resident. He worked for many years at Owens Corning Fiberglass. Ricky was well known for his outgoing personality and his ability to strike up a conversation with anyone. He was a true social butterfly and rarely went anyawhere without finding someone to talk to. Ricky also enjoyed playing guitar, caring for his animals, and spending time in his favorite places, the beach and the mountains. I

n addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Calvin Malin, and his sisters Patsy Malin and JoAnne Ferron.

Ricky is survived by his siblings Shirley Welch, Grady Malin, Rachel Luke, Orie "Mac" Malin, and Timothy Malin Sr. He is also survived by his children Richard Malin Jr. (Jennifer), Christopher Malin (Heather), and Eric Malin. His grandchildren are Brittany Jones, Olivia DeMoss, Leah LaFontaine, Dylan Malin, Emily Malin, Chase Malin, Abigayle Malin, and Haley Malin. His great-granddaughter is Lydia Jones.

The family will announce a celebration of life at a later date.
