Rebecca Jo Walton (née Parker), aged 57, departed this life on April 28, 2024, in Augusta, Georgia. She entered this world on November 4, 1966, in Toledo, Ohio, daughter of the late Jo Ann Horn and Daniel Parker.

Rebecca, affectionately known as Becky, was the devoted wife of Brian Walton, with whom she shared 38 years of marriage. She was a loving mother to her daughter Heather, step-mother to Jennifer, and a doting grandmother to Savannah and Thomas.

Her memory will be cherished by her siblings: Theresa Elford (John), Elizabeth Brown (David), Diane Pol (Ryan Lapham), Renee Watkins (Rick), and Darlene Rinier. Her life was enriched by her dear friends, including Dawn Hall, Helen Banks, Tammy and Steve Hogland, and many others who became like family to her. Becky also held a special place in the hearts of her brothers-in-law, James and Shelby, and their extended families. She took great pleasure in the company of her nieces, nephews, and the great-nephews who resided next door.

She was preceded in death by her beloved in-laws, Eleanor and Thomas Walton, her brother-in-law Michael Walton, and sister-in-law Debbie Walton.

Rebecca was a cherished member of the Fort Gordon Eisenhower Commissary team, where she was known for her warm conversations and welcoming presence at the checkout line.

Her gentle spirit and generous heart left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Rebecca's legacy of kindness and compassion will endure through the lives she touched.

The Walton family will hold a service to honor Rebecca's life at 3:00pm on Monday, May 6, 2024, at Resthaven Cemetery, 460-498 Gordon St., Washington GA 30673.

In remembrance of Rebecca, the family suggests that contributions be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Augusta, Georgia, or a breast cancer charity of your choosing, in lieu of floral tributes.
