Raymond Edward Creech, 79, entered into rest on Saturday, November 25, 2023.

Mr. Creech is preceded in death by his wife, Laura M. Creech; son, Alton D. Creech; brother, Buddy Creech; sister, Edna Pitts; mother, Lillian Ruth Creech; and father, Wilbur O. Creech. He is survived by his daughter, Angela Yearty (Charles); son, Kenneth W. Bedgood; daughter-in-law, Amanda Creech; grandchildren, Daniel Yearty (Kayla), Bryan Yearty (Alyssa), and Chrystal Leach (Michael); grandson, Mico Yearty; granddaughter, Kaitlin Yearty; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews and extended family.

Mr. Creech served in the Navy, and was a part of Local 1579 Electrical Union for over 50 years. He loved to work the Masters, setting up for CBS. Mr. Creech was a faithful member of Martinez Bible Chapel, and he loved to serve the Lord. He loved children, all children of all ages, and would give every hour that he could to get in the floor and play with the children. He was loved and well respected, and will be missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm on Thursday, November 30, 2023, in the chapel at Thomas L. King Funeral Home, 124 Davis Road, Martinez, GA 30907, with Bill Gustafson officiating, and with interment immediately following at West View Cemetery, 2051 Division St., Augusta GA 30904. The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours prior to service time.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth W. Bedgood, Bryan H. Yearty, Daniel W. Yearty, Declan C. Paschal, Charles Hopkins, and Joshua Paschal.
