Phillip Karl Wasson II, 49 of Augusta, GA, entered into his rest on August 19, 2026.

He was born in Augusta, GA to Phillip Karl Wasson and Kathleen Frost. He married the love of his life on June 18, 2022. He was preceded in death by his mom, Dianne Wasson, and his mother, Kathleen Frost. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie; his son, Bryan; his daughter, Athena; his father, Phillip; four sisters; three brothers in law, and several nieces and nephews.

Phillip will be remembered as a loving father, devoted husband, a mischievous brother, and a cherished son. He served his country in the Army Reserves, completing three tours of duty overseas; as well as Richmond County for 18 years as a Sheriff’s Deputy. He was known to be a man of integrity, kindness, and devoted to service. Phillip knew that his hope was in His Redeemer, Jesus Christ, Who lives, and that hope in the Redeemer is what will keep the family through this difficult time.

A memorial service will be held August 25, 2026 at 2pm at Advent Lutheran Church, 3232 Washington Rd, Augusta, GA 30907.
