Mr. Phillip Wayne King, Sr., husband of Mrs. Patricia A. King, entered into rest at his residence in North Augusta, SC. Wayne was the son of the late John T, King, Jr. and Beatrice Widener King. He lived in Augusta area all of his life. He served in Vietnam from 1968 until 1969 with the 319th Transportation Co. USAR. He was a manager with OTASCO until he had to retire. He was a member of Curtis Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by this brother Thomas L. King Sr. Family members include a wife, Patricia A. King; three sons, Phillip W. King, Jr. (Carrie), John T. King III, and Brandon Sauls; a step son, Christopher M. Moon; a daughter, Amber D. King; 2 step daughters, Donna L. Black and Karen E. Farr; a brother, Allen P. King, Sr. (Nancy); and 12 grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at Westover Memorial Park on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend John Barlett officiating. Friends are asked to assemble at the graveside. The family will receive friends at the funeral home between the hours of 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
