Phil passed away on January 17, 2021 at Brandon Wilde in Augusta Georgia. He was surrounded by his entire family before his passing. He was dearly loved by the staff at Brandon Wilde and we are forever grateful for their care.

He was born on January 14, 1929 in Waterbury, CT. He is the son of Edna and Philip H. Eastman, who proceeded him in death. He graduated from Leavenworth High School in Waterbury and joined the Army in 1950. He was married to the love of his life, Rosemary Paolino, for 66 years.

Phil and Ro have three children; Philip H. Eastman, III (Pam), David A. Eastman (DeVona) and Lynnann Dupuis (Harold). They have 6 grandkids; Carolyn Reed (Josh), Meghan Elliot (Grant), William Eastman, Kelsey Eastman, Paige Dupuis and Matthew Dupuis. Phil also has 4 great grandkids; Addison Reed, Emry Reed, Grace Elliot and Wyatt Reed.

Phil served his country for 30 years retiring as a Sergeant Major in the Army. He's a veteran of the Korean War and was stationed in several locations in the US, as well as Germany, France, and Korea. One of his greatest joys was traveling the world and meeting new people. Phil never met a stranger and you could always find him telling his many stories. He was always the life of the party! Upon retirement, Phil and Ro, enjoyed traveling the US and Europe extensively.
