GROVETOWN, Ga. - Peggy Norton, 89, entered into rest after a short battle of lung cancer at her residence on April 11, 2013 with her family by her side. Mrs. Norton is preceded in death by her parents: Fred and Maude McJunkin, her eldest son: Fred Mears, as well as two sisters and three brothers. Survivors include her husband: Mr. Neil Norton; her children: Ed Mears (Sandy) of Michigan, Mike Efremoff, David Efremoff, and Donna Efremoff Christian, all of Grovetown, Ga. There are 14 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 10 great- great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Mom loved everyone, loved outdoors, hunting, camping, and was not afraid to use a gun. (Just ask Tom Holley). She was the udder mudder to someone special. Pallbearers will be: Bernie Christian, son-in-law, and her grandsons: Douglas Christian, Jay Mears, Thomas Mears, Samuel Egan, Jr. and Ronnie Powell. Honorary pallbearers will be her children: Ed Mears, Mike Efremoff, David Efremoff and Donna Efremoff Christian. The service for Mrs. Norton will be Monday, April 15, 2013 with everyone arriving by 10:30 a.m. at Thomas L. King Funeral Home for a processional to Bellevue Memorial Gardens, Grovetown, Ga. for graveside services at 11 a.m. Visitation will be Sunday, April 14, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Thomas L. King Funeral Home. She is loved and sadly missed by everyone she touched. Our hearts ache for you; but we know you are in a better place, in the loving arms of our Lord Jesus, resting peacefully.
