Paul Lagasse, 64, beloved husband and father passed away with his family by his side on August 23, 2025 at Doctor's Hospital in Augusta.
Paul was born in Maine in 1960 to Theophil and Joan Lagasse. He married his wife of 36 years, Petra Lagasse, in Denmark. A veteran of the U.S Army, he served for 20 years with tours including Fort Bragg as a Jump Master, Baumholder, Germany, and Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. Paul ultimately made Augusta, Georgia his home for many years after retiring from the military in Fort Gordon, Georgia.
He then proudly served the citizens of Augusta and Richmond County, Georgia as a dedicated Network Administrator for 25 years.
Paul was a caring husband and a loving and proud father. His life centered around family, work and community. He was the type of man who would talk with everyone, help anyone and do what it takes to make things better. He always had a smile on his face and his good natured personality will always be remembered by those who knew him.
Paul was predeceased by his parents, Theophil and Joan Lagasse.
He is survived by his wife Petra Lagasse and twin daughters Emily and Paula Lagasse; his sister Janice Damboise of Bangor, ME; his brother Phil Lagasse of Newport ME; sister Gisele Angel and her husband Kyp of Alpine, TX; Jackie and her husband Larry Pelletier, of Orrington, ME; Bernard and his wife Elizabeth Lagasse, of Fort Fairfield, ME; John and his wife Soo Lagasse, of Fairfax, VA; Jim Lagasse and his life partner Jennifer Hogdens, of Bangor, ME; Dave and his wife Michelle Lagasse, of Windham, ME; sister-in-law Anke and her husband Charles Anderson, of Milledgeville, GA; brother-in-law Dirk and his wife Ramona Struck, of Freisen, Germany; mother-in-law Doris Vela of Baumholder, Germany, and the many nephews and nieces.
To honor Paul's wishes, there will be no funeral service. Date for inurnment at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington D.C, will be announced at a later time.
