Patsy Parkes Larkin, born on July 6, 1947, passed away on February 3, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to her family and community. A cherished member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church, Patsy's life was profoundly shaped by her faith, which served as a guiding light throughout her journey.

Family was central to Patsy’s existence. She is survived by her beloved son, John Hutto of Hephzibah, GA, who faithfully upheld the values she instilled in him. Her only granddaughter, Amber Hutto of Martinez, GA, was the apple of her eye, and the bond they shared symbolized the essence of her nurturing spirit. In addition, she embraced two women, Angel Carr and Teresa Burnette Fuller, treating them as her own daughters, reflecting her generous heart and open arms.

Patsy also leaves behind extended family members, including John Franklin and Angel Carr, as well as her siblings and their spouses: Ruby E. Parkes Smith (Howard), Lynn Parkes McDonald (Mike), Katrina Parkes Holdiness (Sam), and Melanie Parkes Hilliard (Sidney). She had family ties throughout Mississippi, including Sam and Tina Holdiness and their family, along with Sidney and Melanie Hilliard and their family, showcasing her deep-rooted connections across generations.

Her legacy continues through a wide array of nieces and nephews who carry fond memories of her. These include nephews Kyle Arrington, Skip Ammons, Jason Holdiness, Keith Hilliard, and Logan Hilliard, along with nieces Shay Arrington Bevill, Ashley Reynolds, Laura Wobles and Salena Wrenn. She also takes with her the love for her many nieces, nephews, and many other family members who will miss her deeply.

Patsy was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, as well as her parents Lewis H. Parkes and Lillie Ruth Parkes. She was also predeceased by her sons Jerry D. Hutto and Darrell Hutto, which were significant losses in her life. Additionally, she mourned the passing of her nephew Phillip E. Ammons and niece Karen Smith, reflecting the profound impact of loss that shaped her compassion and resilience.

Patsy Parkes Larkin’s spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew her, cherished her, and were inspired by her unwavering love and dedication to family and community. She will be remembered for her warmth, her strength, and the indelible mark she left on everyone who had the privilege of sharing in her life.
