On the evening of May 28, 2026, the sun set on the beautiful life of Patrick Lee Smith. He lived life well using his gifts and talents in so many ways.

Born in upstate New York to Nora Clifford Ball, he learned to love God, country and family. He left New York to proudly serve 4 years in the 82 Airborne Division during the Viet Nam war. He held many business leadership positions last being District Manager with the A. A. Friedman Company. He was a proud member of Whole Life Ministries in Augusta, GA where he enoyed using his building and artestry skills.

He is preceeded in death by his mother, brother David, daughter Laurie, brother-in-law Dr. Aubra Branson. 

He leaves behind to treasure his memory, wife of 35 years, Mary Ellen, sons Joseph and family, Robert Dula (Katessa) sister-in-law Sally Branson. Grandchildren Kaylon & Shane Dula and numerous treasured friendships.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. He will be honored to rest in the National Cemetery at Ft. Jackson.
