Pamela Norris

Pamela "Pam" Bass Norris, 64, of Thomson, passed away on June 6, 2026.

Pam was known as a very hard worker, exemplified in her career both in construction alongside her husband Gary Norris and as an assembly technician at John Deere. Throughout her working life, she demonstrated determination and excellence, earning the respect of colleagues and friends alike. Her hard work was matched only by her giving and kind nature, which touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.

A passionate cook and avid fisherman, Pam took great joy in nurturing her family and sharing her love of the outdoors. She truly cherished her family, valuing every moment spent with them and embodying the spirit of togetherness and care. Her home was a place filled with warmth and laughter, where her generosity knew no bounds.

Pam’s life was also defined by her extraordinary courage. As a double cancer survivor, having bravely fought and overcome both lung and brain cancer, she demonstrated remarkable strength and resilience. Her battle was a testament to her indomitable spirit and unwavering hope, inspiring everyone around her.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Norris, and her children: Brent Ussery and his wife Brittany, Gary Norris Jr., and McKenzie Ussery. Pamela also leaves behind her stepdaughter, Korina Ussery, and five beloved grandchildren—Thea, Jaxon, Suzi, Payton, and Rosie—who were sources of immense pride and happiness to her. Additionally, she is survived by her brother, Keith Bass.

She is preceded in death by her parents William and Yvonne Bass. 

The family will recieve friends for a time of Visitation on June 11, 2026 from 1:00 until 3:00 PM at Thomas L. King Funeral Home.
