Norma Burney entered into rest on December 23, 2024 in Augusta, Georgia. She was predeceased by her husband, Elmer Burney and parents Alfonso and Stella Jones of Northfork, West Virginia.

She leaves her daughter Stephanie (Billy), grandson Ian and granddaughter Gabrielle Nichols to mourn her death and cherish her love of family.

Norma was a math teacher in the Cincinnati Public School system, first at Abigail Cutter Junior High and retired from Walnut Hills College Preparatory High School. While at Walnut Hills she was an advisor for the Modeling Club and Drill Team.

Norma enjoyed bowling and she participated in many leagues and tournaments. She also enjoyed watching pro football and basketball as well as the summer Olympic Games.

The family asked that in lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Alzheimer Association in her name.
