Nelda Mae Elliott, 83, went home to her Heavenly Father peacefully in her home and surrounded by family on Tuesday, November 12, 2024.

Born in Springfield Missouri to Eugene and Catherine Cromer, she traveled the world and lived in other countries while being an army spouse, but settled in Augusta Georgia in 1975. She worked in retail the majority of her life before retiring from Riches/Macys in 2005. She never met a stranger. She and her husband raised and showed CKC chihuahuas. Nelda was a devout Christian and knew her Lord and Savior. She was the proudest Memaw to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved fiercely, and thoroughly enjoyed hosting her annual 4th of July bbq celebration and loved having her family together.

Nelda is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Elliott; her sons, Steven Highland and Ron Highland; and three sisters and a brother. She leaves behind her children, Brenda Reece, Mike Highland (Pamela), Bonnie Reis (Jeff), Stacy Hall (Brian), Chris Elliott (Susan), and Carri Mullican; 21 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Diamond.

The family will receive friends for a celebration of life visitation from 1:00 - 3:00pm on Friday, November 15, 2024, at Thomas L. King Funeral Home, 124 Davis Road, Martinez GA 30907.
