Neilson Fredrick Powers went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday August 30, 2021. Neil was born in Augusta, Ga and lived in McBean Community in Augusta, Ga his whole life. He is survived by his wife Stevie Brooke Powers (McBean), parents Douglas and Katie Powers (McBean), brother Samuel Powers (McBean), sisters Jennifer Kay Powers (Columbia, SC) and Richie and Bradley Meyers (Evans, GA) and a host of nieces and nephews as well as one great nephew. For the greater part of Neil's life he worked at Buckeye Plantation in Midville, GA where he took care of land and animal maintenance. He loved working outside running the equipment and working with the animals. Later in life he worked with his family at a fencing company. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved to take his wife hunting and compete with her on getting the big one. He also loved to ride dirt roads and listen to his music. Neil was a lifelong member of Ascenscion Lutheran Church where he was baptised as a child and married just 2 short years ago. The visitation will be from 9:00 am to 10:00 am Thursday September 2, 2021 at Kings Funeral Home on Davis Rd. A graveside service will follow at 11:00 am at West View Cemetery 2051 Division St. Augusta, Ga 30904. Thomas L. King Funeral Home and Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements.
