Muriel C. Delmerico, 72, passed Sunday, September 25, 2022 in Augusta, Georgia following a long battle with lung cancer.

Muriel was born in Mt. Kisco, NY and relocated from New York to Georgia in 1976 to be near her sisters.  She was an avid reader, a faithful friend, and lived fiercely independently until her end.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Delmerico, her sister, Elizabeth Wisnieski of Grovetown, GA., and brothers, John Green of Owego, NY and Charles Green of Poughquag, NY.  She is survived by her sister Lydia Haye of Augusta, GA, sons, Michael Chiulli of Augusta, GA, and James Delmerico of Atlanta, GA and three grandchildren, Mia, Samuel, and Anna Delmerico.

She would like to thank the efforts of Dr. David Squires and the nurses of Augusta Oncology Associates for prolonging her life years well beyond the initial prognosis, and the Crescent Hospice and Visiting Angels teams for her comfort and excellent care.
