At 5 years old, Milo began wrestling, eventually earning many accolades in the process. In his later years, he enjoyed golfing with his friends and his younger brother Greg. He loved to travel and lived in many different states and cities. Milo began his career in the plumbing industry and eventually moved on to business management in restaurants and hotels. He really enjoyed youth sports coaching, especially when his kids and grandchildren were involved. Milo also really enjoyed riding motorcycles for a large portion of his life. If the Raiders were playing football on the TV, he was being their #1 fan. The Grateful Dead was his absolute favorite band and he attended 100s of shows with his older brother David. From his sons:
Our father, Milo Frederick Hayes Jr., was the most incredible man we will ever know. Thank you for all you have done for us. You taught us how to live lives as good men with honor and integrity. You are dearly missed, our dedicated and devoted father. You were our family rock. Not only was he an amazing father throughout his entire life, he was an outstanding grandpa to his 6 grandchildren. Our dad was selfless, relentlessly caring, strong, and independent. He would do anything in his power to make your day better. He would never miss a single milestone, sports game, or event for his family ever, no matter the situation. We cherish every moment our father spent together with us while he was on Earth and will deeply miss the opportunity to live through more experiences with him. Till heaven pops, we love you.
