AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Mildred Johnston Newman, 91, beloved wife of the late Charles W. Newman, entered into rest Thursday, April 7, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Neman was born in Augusta, GA to the late Leroy and Myrtis James Johnston. She was a founding member of Flowing Wells Holiness Church and a member of Flowing Wells Worship Center. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 10, 2016, at Flowing Wells Worship Center with Reverend Bobby Coleman officiating. Interment services will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Family members include four sons, Allen Glover (Jackie) of Augusta, GA, Greg Glover (Cheryl) of Martinez, GA, Phil Glover (Tricia) of Augusta, and Raymond Center (Ellen) of Augusta, GA; two daughters, Wanda Lowe (Tommy) of Beech Island, SC, and a heart-felt daughter, Marita Fordham of Augusta, GA; two brothers, Howard Coates (Brenda) of Huntsville, TX and Raymond Coates (Aileen) of Spring, TX; three sisters, Lou Ellen Willis of Thomson, GA, Jackie Skaggs of Jal, NM and Barbara Bassano (Jimmy) of Pittsburgh, PA; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; a special friend of 69 years, Vera Henderson, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 9, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Florist deliveries Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Thomas L.
