IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mike
Mazur
March 6, 1959 – August 2, 2025
Michael David Mazur, 66, peacefully passed away on August 1st, 2025, at home in Martinez, Georgia.
Born on March 6, 1959, in Augusta, Georgia, Mike lived a life rooted in hard work, quiet devotion and deep love for his family and the simple joys of life.
Mike spent most of his career as a welder and fabricator bringing skill and dedication to every job he undertook. He worked at TTX Hamburg before ultimately retiring from Morgan/Thermal Ceramics. His hands built more than just metal structures – they helped build a life filled with meaning and connection.
On March 6, 1978 – his birthday Mike married the love of his life Pamela Talbott Mazur. Their journey began at a Valentines Day Party and blossomed into a marriage that spanned nearly 5 decades. Together they raised two sons
David B. Mazur and Aaron T. Mazur. Mike also embraced Zack Teffteteller as an honorary son, reflecting the openness of his heart and home.
Family was central to his world he is lovingly remembered by his wife Pam and sons David wife Kaity and Aaron Mazur. His Sister in love Margaret and husband Randy Atchison; nephew Bryce Atchison and niece Jessica Swanson.
Mike and Tonya Palinkas, nieces Kalynn Hardy, Ashley Palinkas and Lily Palinkas
He is also survived by his mother JoAnn Holloway C and his siblings Robert Mazur, Mark Mazur and Kelly Brittingham.
He as proceeded in death by his father Mike Mazur and his mother-in-law Charlotte Humphries Parker.
Mike had a passion for life's simpler pleasures. He loved flea markets, antiques- what he fondly called "Junkin" whether fishing or off road exploring he found joy in the outdoors. A longtime motorcycle enthusiast, Mike relished riding both solo and in groups exploring the backroads across the region. Yet no matter how far he traveled, his favorite place remained his porch at home.
Animals held a special place in Mike's heart; he often joked about becoming a yorkie lover despite himself –"I can't believe I have a lap dog " he'd say but people who knew him knew he'd always help a Yorkie in need. His affection for animals ran deeply enough that the family proudly supports the Georgia Yorkie Rescue organization in his honor.
Though not one for many words. Mike's love was unmistakable for those who were fortunate enough to receive it. He believed deeply in the Lord and shared his faith freely when he thought it would offer comfort or guidance to others.
A loving husband, devoted father and loyal friend – yes even an unexpected yorkie whisperer- Mike leaves behind a legacy of quiet strength and unwavering love.
May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him. A service will be held at Thomas L. King Funeral home at 124 Davis Rd, Martinez GA on Friday August 8th with visitation from 4:00-5:00 pm and Celebration of Life following in chapel at funeral home.
