Michael "Mike" Pape, a lifelong resident of Richmond County, passed away on April 4, 2026. He was a beloved entrepreneur and chef, known not only for his professional talents but also for his deep commitment to his community and family.
Mike’s contributions extended beyond his career; he was an honorary Richmond County Sheriff's Deputy, a testament to his steadfast dedication to the spirit and safety of his community. His volunteer work at the Augusta Dream Center highlighted his generous heart and desire to support those in need.
A man of faith and fellowship, Mike was an active member of Stevens Creek Church, South Augusta Campus. There, he found joy in welcoming and greeting visitors, reflecting his warm nature and genuine kindness. He also had a great love for his precious fur babies, who brought him much happiness.
Mike is survived by his brother Alan Truesdell and his wife Paula, along with numerous nieces and nephews including Eddie Truesdell, Robbie Truesdell, Kevin Truesdell, Belinda Bridges, Glenda Collins, Summer Stewart, Jennifer Fulkerson, Bill Scholl, and Kathy McDaniel. He was also cherished by many other extended family members and friends who will remember him fondly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Dorothy Pape; his brother, Butch Scholl; and his sister, Tammy Stewart.
A visitation will be held on April 10, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the Thomas L. King Funeral Home. Following this, a Celebration of Life service will take place on the same day at 6:00 PM in the Funeral Home Chapel.
As we honor Mike's memory, we hold close the legacy of a man who lived with passion, generosity, and an unwavering spirit of community. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
