GROVETOWN, Ga. - Mr. Michael J. O Connor, 70, husband of Mrs. Maureen Lane O Connor for 46 years, entered into rest Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Doctors Hospital. Mr. O Connor was born in Viroqua, WI to the late Forest and Irene Smith O Connor. Mr. O Connor served in the U.S. Army for 24 years and 3 more years in the Army Reserve. He was a loving husband and father, loved substitute teaching, and never met a stranger. He will be dearly missed. In addition to Mr. O Connor s parents, he is preceded in death by a grandson, Robert Steers; a sister, Kathleen Raymond; and a brother, James O Connor. In addition to his wife, Mr. O Connor is survived by a son, Brett O Connor of Lexington, SC; two daughters, Cathie Goodenough (John) of Appling, GA and Jennifer Volten of Westby, WI; a brother, Patrick O Connor (Patti) of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; a sister, Elizabeth Steinbrenner of Lancaster, WI; 5 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. There will be no service by request.
