AUGUSTA, Ga. - Melvina Oxford Pike, 88, entered into rest Monday, February 9, 2015, after a short illness. She was the wife of Mr. Marvin B. Pike Sr. Family members include one son, Marvin Pike Jr. of Augusta and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Pike was a 70 year resident of Augusta, GA. She was the last of five sibling girls (Myrtle, Cora Lee, Emma Nell, and Lena Mae) who were raised in the Georgia Baptist Children s Home in Hapeville, Ga. Melvina's kindness and her love of children will be remembered by all who knew her. The family will receive friends 2/12/15 from 6-8pm at Thomas L. King Funeral Home, 124 Davis Rd., Martinez, Ga. Graveside services will be at Sunset Hill Cemetery, North Augusta, 2/13/15 at 2:00pm.
