Melody Bobo Burnett, 44, of Martinez, passed away on October 27, 2024.

Melody was a longtime area resident and worked for Hilton for over 6 years as a coordinator. Known as the life of the party, Melody had a remarkable ability to light up any room with her infectious energy and sociable spirit. A passionate DIY enthusiast, Melody poured her creativity into countless projects. She was very inspiring; her family and friends would always come to her for her inspiration. Melody loved her Lord; always taking time for her daily devotions. She shared her love of the Lord with her family, especially her precious grandchildren who were the loves of her life, and some of her biggest blessings. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Mathie Bobo, and her father, James Moore.

Survivors include her spouse, Tonya Burnett; her children, Jasmine Burnett, Darius Burnett (Nakia), Shakeria Galloway, and Christopher Galloway; her mother-in-law, Lucille Burnett; brother-in-law, James Burnett; her sister-in-law, Shantise Burnett-Tarver (Arkesha); her beloved grandchildren, Darius Jr., Kiara, Aliyannah, and Kaiyah, as well as a host of other cousins and family members.

The family will hold a private service at a later date.
