Mechthilde (Hilde) Huckaby, 83, entered into rest on Tuesday, May 17th, 2022.

She was born in 1938 in Augsburg, Germany, where she met and married her beloved husband, James Wendell Huckaby. They would spend 60 years by one another's side until his death in March of this year. Hilde is survived by her three children: Robert Spring (Gerlinde) of Leipheim, Germany, James Gary Huckaby (Doris) of Evans, Georgia, and Susan Huckaby Parsons of Charleston, South Carolina. She is also survived by her three grandchildren: Kerstin Spring and Holger Spring of Leipheim, Germany, and Emily Huckaby Michau (Joseph) of Martinez, Georgia. She was a devout lover of all animals, the outdoors, and spending time with her family. She will be forever loved and missed by many.
