Matthew Charles Wolf, 29, son of Colonel Stephen S. Wolf USMCR (Ret) and Desiree M. Wolf entered into rest on September 25, 2018 in Athens, GA. Matt was born in Boise, Idaho but resided for most of his life in Evans, GA. He was a graduate of Greenbrier High School class of 2007 and then followed his dream by attending the University of Georgia where he attained a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Chemistry from the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. He was currently working as an Environmental Chemist and Staff Scientist for Eden Remediation Services in Monroe, GA. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. Matt loved music and he loved to play the drums. He loved the outdoors and exploring nature and he never met a stranger. In life he always danced to the beat of his own drum. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, LTC Charles E. Wolf, Jr. US Army (Ret) and Helen V. Wolf. Other survivors include his sister Elizabeth Wolf Moore (Andrew), grandparents Robert and Faye Zidek Winchester VA. his niece Addison Elizabeth Moore and nephew Asher James Moore. And his longtime girlfriend Christie Burrell Athens, Ga. A celebration of Matts Life will be held Friday, September 28 at the home of his parents from 4-8pm. The Memorial service will be held at Wesley United Methodist Church on Saturday, September 29th at 4:00 pm with Greg Porterfield and Pat Williams officiating. Following the service family and friends are encouraged to join the family at Steve and Desiree's home.
