Matthew Glenn Waltz, 54, entered into rest on Friday, January 5th, 2024.

Matthew was born on April 27th, 1969, in Providence, Rhode Island, to parents Donald and Maryann Waltz. He graduated from Evans High School in Evans, GA in 1987.

Throughout his life, Matthew devoted much of his time and energy as a caregiver to his mother until she passed away at age 72. He found joy in his relationships with his friends and family and will forever be remembered for his ability to carry on a conversation with anyone he met. His infectious laughter and lively spirit lit up the room, leaving a lasting imprint on all who knew him.

Matthew is preceded in death by both of his parents, Donald and Maryann Waltz. He is survived by both of his sisters, Anna Ebenroth and Jennifer Dixon; and his beloved aunt, Loretta Masterman. He was an uncle to Karin Hauffen, Taylor Dixon, Jessica and Colt Collins, and Cody and Evelyn Ebenroth. Beloved cousins included Christopher and Hannah Masterman, Steven Masterman, William and Michael Barry, and Virginia and Jennifer Dugas.

Everyone who remembers him is asked to celebrate Matthew's life in their own way; raising a glass of their favorite beer in his memory would be quite appropriate.
