Matthew Michael Crew, affectionately known as Matt, passed away on September 12, 2026.

Matt was originally from Pennsylvania but had lived for several years in Augusta. Matt was a very simple person, but he was very happy, kind, and never met a stranger. He was also very well-mannered, respecting everyone he ever met. He enjoyed watching various Television programs such as Sci-Fi shows, NCIS, Criminal Minds, and even watching his Philadelphia Eagles play. Japanese Anime was another favorite pastime of his with crunchy roll being a favorite. Music was another way Matt chose to unwind listening to some metal, however his favorite was Rock and roll and he introduced his mother to Van Halen, his aunt Fern, to Def Lepard and rush was another favorite group of his. He was very close to his cousins with Brandi being more like a sister to Matt and he will be missed by all of his family.

Matt is survived by his parents, Robert Crew and Vicki Sheahan (Pat); his aunt and uncle, Kerry and Fern Moyer; and his cousins, Brandi Lowman, Nicole Moyer, and Kerri Moyer.

A celebration of his life will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at Living Waters Church, 1319 Community Park Rd, Augusta, GA 30909, with Pastor Oscar Whiteside Jr. officiating.
