Mary Alice McDavid, 69, entered into rest on Saturday, March 4, 2023.

Mary Alice was born and raised in Augusta, Georgia, and attended school at St. Mary's, Aquinas High School, and Westside High. She lived in Georgia most of her life and worked until she retired as a medical transcriber at the VA hospital. Later in life, she decided to retire to Florida to be closer to the beach and her husband's family. She loved to spend the day at the beach. When her husband passed away in 2018, she returned to Georgia to be closer to her children and grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 24 years, Dalton M. McDavid, and her parents, Roy and Margaret Odum. Survivors include her children, Alicia Roberts (Charlie) and Bryan Sutton; step-children, Summer Rodriguez and Dalton W. McDavid; grandchildren, Tyler Roberts (Lauren), Drew Roberts, Chandler Roberts, Meadow Sutton, Bryna Sutton, Suzanne Pickens, Connor Rodriguez, and Chloe Rodriguez; great-grandson, Dalton Martin; sister, Patricia Askew; brother, Steve Odum (Lynn); sister-in-law, Jane Tyrie; brothers-in-law, Bill McDavid and Buck Hudson; and many friends and extended family.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at Magnolia Cemetery, 702 3rd St, Augusta GA 30901, with Fr. Mike Ingram officiating. The family will receive friends at the graveside one hour prior to service time.
