MARTINEZ, Ga. - Entered into rest on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, Mrs. Mary Frances Jackson, wife of the late Douglas Jackson of Martinez, Ga. She was the daughter of the late George and Lillian Quarles. Mrs. Jackson worked for the Columbia County Board of Education in the school lunchroom system. She was preceded in death by her son, Mr. Tommy Jackson, Sr. She was a loving mother, grandmother and will be missed by her family and friends. Survivors: son, James Jackson and wife Jackie; 2 daughters, Teresa Jackson, Paula Dickson and husband Phillip; 1 niece, Irby Patterson; 13 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Abilene Churchyard on Old Abilene Church Rd. in Martinez with the Rev. Wade Palmer officiating. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery. Grandsons and nephews will be pallbearers. Visitation will be tonight at the funeral home between the hours of 6 to 8 p.m. Thomas L.
