Mark Dorn, 62, of Martinez, GA, entered into rest on Tuesday, May 2, 2023.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Bernice Dorn; brother, Alvin "Buster" Dorn Jr.; and nephew, Brian Dorn. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Virginia "Ginny" Reed (Neal) of Hephzibah, GA; three stepsons, William "Bo" Tyrpin (Stephanie) of Augusta, GA, Robert Tyrpin (Ashley) of Harlem, GA, and Joshua Tyrpin of Augusta, GA; grandchildren, Harper Reed, Virginia Reed, Neal Reed III, and Sawyer Reed, all of Hephzibah, GA; nephew, Brandon Dorn (Emily) of Evans, GA; and several friends that were like family.

Mark was born on April 17,1961, in Atlanta, GA. He was raised in Martinez, GA, alongside his older brother, Buster. Mark attended Evans High School and was a man of many engines. He was devoted to his family, especially his daughter and grandbabies and his dog, Brutus. Mark was a mechanic and enjoyed spending time working on anything with an engine to include go karts, boats, bikes, and of course, cars and trucks. Mark was never seen without a hat and filthy (permanently stained) hands, which he told his daughter and her friends that was money, because he was always working. He also enjoyed teaching others and sharing his knowledge.

Mark was humble and kind, and someone who will be remembered for his heart of gold, goofy personality, and incredible knack for fixing things. He will be remembered as a mama's boy and a loving father, whose daughter was his heart, and later would include his grandbabies. He will be remembered by his friends by his ability to bring laughter to any situation, and his many car stories from the past. He will be missed by so many, as Mark was a genuine guy who would help anyone if he could, no matter what.

A celebration of life visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00pm on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at Thomas L. King Funeral Home, 124 Davis Road, Martinez, GA 30907.
