Mrs. Marilyn Lonergan Cogar, age 65, entered into rest Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Doctors Hospital. Mrs. Cogar was born in Birmingham, AL to Barbara Jean Holsomback and the late John E. Holsomback, Sr.. She loved dancing and enjoyed spending good times with her family. Mrs. Cogar was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Bussey Point Recreation Area, Lincolnton, GA from 4:30 P.M. until 6:30 P.M. In addition to her father, Mrs. Cogar is also preceded in death by a daughter, Shanon Helmich and a brother, John E. Holsomback, Jr.. In addition to her mother, Mrs. Cogar is survived by 2 sons, Matt Cogar (Heather) of Augusta, GA and Brian Lonergan of Georgia; 4 grandchildren, Shanon Makayla Cogar, Madelynn Wray Cogar, Miranda Lonergan, and Austin Lonergan. and numerous nieces and nephews.
