GROVETOWN, Ga. - Mrs. Lynda Fox Ivey, wife of Mr. Thomas Ben Ivey, Grovetown, Ga., entered into rest at Doctors Hospital on October 13, 2015. Mrs. Ivey was born in Augusta, Ga., and was a retired insurance agent. Survivors include her husband, Ben Ivey, Grovetown; parents, Vernon Fox and Phyllis Bentley Fox, Martinez; daughter, Hope Cook and husband David, Grovetown; stepson, Beau Ivey and wife Beth Ann, Lincolnton; three sisters, Janie Fox Twaddle, Columbia, Mayme Walsh, Martinez, Elaine Lord and husband Roger, Evans; grandchildren, Christopher Taylor McNutt, Savannah Anne Cook, Sarah Elizabeth Cook, Bennett Ivey, Talbot Ivey; her three dogs who were like her children, Sophie, Buck, and Sassy; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Christopher William Hodges in 1978 and a brother, Murray Fox. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 16, 2015 at 2:00 p.m., in the Thomas L. King Chapel with Rev. Gerald McNutt officiating. Interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Kevin, Warner, Tim McLean, Derrick Rugels, Clyde McTier, Ben Mays, Robbie Parrish.
