Lindsey Noel Burkes, 20, entered into rest on Friday, June 16, 2023.

Lindsey is survived by her loving parents, Donald "Donnie" Burkes Jr. and Stephanie Burkes; her furbabies, Trixie and Blossom; her grandparents, Donald Burkes Sr. of Centerville GA, Linda Hunt and Micheal Rankin of Byron GA, and David and Kathy Sweatt of Kathleen GA; her aunts and uncles, Lisa Sorrow (Alan), Jody Burkes (Michelle), Stacey Shelnutt, Scott Sweatt (Heather), and Steven Sweatt (Amanda); and several cousins. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Boyce and Sandi (Binford) Dilbeck.

Lindsey was a kind person, and rarely said a harsh word to, or about, anyone. She was a joy, and her laugh was infectious. Lindsey enjoyed archery and really blossomed during that time. She always had fond memories of her time of archery and the friends she made. She also enjoyed camping, and especially loved the mountains. She was good at drawing and loved doing arts and crafts in general. You could often find Lindsey sitting in quiet, just listening to music. She left a legacy of kindness and goodness that will not only be remembered by all that knew her, but also was an example for us all to live by. She enjoyed helping to cook and feed families at the Ronald McDonald House. She attended Faith Lutheran Church, where she helped in the clothes closet for the less fortunate.

The family will receive friends and condolences at the residence at 520 Kimberly Drive, Byron, GA 31008. Any flowers may be sent to this location and will be transported to the church for the memorial service, which will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Revive Fellowship Ministries, 2089A US Hwy 41, Perry, GA 31069, with Brad Purvis officiating.

Lindsey's favorite color is blue, and in memory of her, all are welcome to wear blue to the memorial.
