Lavonia
Loren
February 21, 2025
Lavonia Loren, 86, of Augusta, GA, passed away February 21, 2025.
Lavonia was born on April 21, 1938, in Augusta, Ga, to Mattie Mae Stevens and Max Green.
She married in 1953 to David Johnson and had 6 children. After 13 years of marriage, they divorced, then in the late 1960's she entered in the ladies win program to receive her GED and her nursing license to support her children. In 1970 she married Racy Loren and continued working tirelessly to provide money and raise her children until she retired as a LPN in pulmonology.
Lavonia was well known as a wonderful cook and crafty person, a lot of her time was taken up doing ceramics, gardening, and making something amazing in the kitchen. She also loved the holidays, since having everyone gather was truly her favorite thing. She was very driven by her love for family and her need to take care of anyone. Lavonia could be seen quite often giving someone what for, while handing them one of her love filled dishes. Nothing mattered to her more than family, and all her accomplishments in life are an attestment to that. Lavonia was and always will be an amazing woman who changed the life of anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
