Laura May Parkerson, age 70, wife of Carl Van Parkerson Jr., entered into rest June 14, 2025 at her home in Grovetown, GA.

Memorial services will be held June 28, 2025 at 1:00 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 835 North Belair Road, Evans, GA., 30809

Born in Connecticut, Laura moved frequently throughout her life before settling in the area 26 years ago. She was the daughter of Grace E. Ressler and the late Donald E. Ressler.

She is survived by her husband, Carl Van Parkerson Jr.; her mother, Grace E. Ressler of Clarks Hill, SC; and her sister, Donna Anderson (David) of Harlem, GA. She also leaves behind her children: Jamie Futrill of Dallas, TX; Cassie Medley (David) of Cocoa, FL; Kelli Erb-Scarbrough (Britt) of Augusta, GA; and Rachel Seader (Patrick) of Evans, GA. Her grandchildren include London Brooks, Alex, Nathan, and Ben Medley, Amelia and William Seader.

Laura was preceded in death by her father, Donald E. Ressler, and her brothers, Kevin, Robert, and Wayne Ressler.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all those who made her feel loved during her final days.
