Evans, GA - Larry S. Johnson "Big Daddy" went home to be with the Lord on Friday April 22, 2022, his wife Jennette, and their life-long friend Barbara Johnston by his side. He put up a courageous fight with several health issues. Big Daddy was a loving husband and father to his wife Jennette and children Janet and Bubba. Big Daddy had the best time loving and spoiling his grandchildren Logan, Grayson, and Addy Grace. Larry was born in Warrenton, GA in 1942, and moved to Augusta when he was five years old. He grew up in Augusta and worked in route sales until his retirement.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Jennette (married August 1, 1965); two children, Janet Wood (Bill) and Larry "Bubba" Johnson Jr.; three grandchildren, Logan, Grayson, and Addy Grace; sister-in-law, Linda Huffman; sister, Betty Gaines; and several special nieces and nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Herchel and Annie Lou Johnson; and his grandson, Gavin Lloyd (May 4, 2010).

The family will receive friends for a Celebration of Life visitation on Monday, April 25, 2022, at West Acres Baptist Church, 555 Gibbs Rd, Evans, GA 30809, between the hours of 6:00pm and 8:00pm.
