Michael Kenneth "Kenny" Lazar was welcomed to the glory of Heaven on Monday, February 9, 2026, at Doctor's Hospital in Augusta. He was surrounded by loving family and friends.
Kenny lived a life filled with love, generosity, and compassion which he poured into others. He especially had a heart for the homeless and anyone in need. He was a man of many talents who eagerly undertook any challenges. There was nothing he felt he couldn't accomplish through intense effort and hard work. Kenny was the owner and operator of Lazar's Trailers and Welding in Martinez. He developed numerous interests and hobbies throughout his life to include motorcycles, racing, hunting, vintage cars, and antiques. He was "Papa" to three precious grandsons: Grayson, Easton and Stetson, who have embraced his love for anything with wheels. Kenny proudly became their spectator rather than driver as he cheered and celebrated their accomplishments.
In addition to his grandsons, Kenny is survived by his dedicated wife, Diane; his son Robbie (Nicole), Chris and Michelle Rogers; his brother Ronnie (Stella), nieces and nephews; and we must not forget his donkey, Jasper and several goats. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Sherry; his parents, Robert and Deleva Mae Lazar; his sister, Vonnie Hodson; his sister, Deleva Thorne; his brother, Frank Lazar; and nephew, Michael Thorne
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at Thomas L. King Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026 at 1:00 PM in the Thomas L. King Funeral Home Chapel with Chris Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be John Perry, Keith Pope, Lamar Nail, Jamie Yarborough, Greg, Chirs Godwin, and Duane Weaver. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Force, Danny Bailey, Ernie Dinkins, Chuck Woods, and JJ Ertz.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are appreciated to Victory Baptist Church in N. Augusta, South Caroline or Garden City Rescue Mission at 828 Fenwick St.
