Kenneth Layton Williams, 85, husband of the late Joann Williams, of 58 years, entered into his eternal rest, Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Piedmont Hospital. He was born and raised in Augusta, GA. A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held at Kiokee Baptist Church on Ray Owens Road. Visitation will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 20 with a service to follow at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Steve Hartman officiating.

His faith in God sustained him throughout his life. God blessed him with two sons and daughters in law who he loved very much. Kenneth Layton Williams Jr. (Kathy) of Martinez, GA, and Edward Glenn Williams (Ashley) of Appling, GA. God’s special gift to him were his four granddaughters and great granddaughters, Lindsey Williams Feeley (Sean) of Newnan, GA, Anna Kathrynn and Ella Grace (great granddaughters, Newnan, GA), Logan Williams of Martinez, GA, Alisa Williams of Appling, GA, and Avery Williams Pianka (Mark) of New York, NY.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his loving wife, Joann Williams and his parents Howard Williams and Clarene Johnson.

Kenneth retired from DSM Chemicals after 38 years of service. He was a member of the Augusta Baseball Umpires, the Augusta Association of Football Officials, and the Thomson Archery Club. He enjoyed coaching and volunteering his time with the Martinez Evans Little League. He was an avid outdoorsman.
