Kayla Victoria Gonzalez, 17, entered into rest on Tuesday, February 1, 2022.

Kayla's love for her family was rivaled only by her love for animals. As a trusty sidekick to her mom, she loved going out on rescue missions and then nursing sick animals back to health. She was at her happiest when cuddling a sick puppy, kitten, squirrel, or any other animal in need. Kayla's other passion was makeup. She was a gifted makeup artist and loved to do not only her makeup, but also her friends. After getting all dolled up, she always had to take a selfie for everyone to see!

Kayla had the most loving and trusting heart; and wanted nothing more than to love, and be loved, by everyone. She never met a stranger and within minutes of meeting you, she considered you her friend. If you were lucky enough to have been a special person in Kayla's life, you were blessed beyond measure.

Kayla is preceded in death by her sister, Nicole Gonzalez; and her uncle, Billy Deal. She is survived by her daughter, Rhylee Gonzalez; mother and father, Gina Gonzalez and Nelson Garcia; sister, Khrystal; brother, Christian; sister, Ashley; brother, Robert; brother, Christopher; sister, Katielynn; brother, Juan; sister, Christina; grandparents, Charles and Charlene Masters; godparents, Jason and Tamara Santos; and many friends and extended family.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 3:00pm on Monday, February 7, 2022, at Thomas L. King Funeral Home, 124 Davis Rd., Martinez, GA 30907. Funeral services will follow at 3:00pm in the Chapel at Thomas L. King Funeral Home.

The family requests that attendees please practice social distancing during the visitation and services.
