Kaye Futch Gilliard, "Mama Kaye", age 79, of Evans, GA, passed away peacefully at home on April 2, 2024. She was born on October 13, 1944, the daughter of the late George and Vivian Futch of Nicholls, Georgia.

Kaye dedicated her early life to the pursuit of knowledge and education by earning two degrees in Accounting from South Georgia University. She founded the library at Citizens Christian Academy. She was a career business manager for a large medical practice and later computer contractor for the United States government, Department of Defense.

Her survivors include her beloved husband of 59 years, Fred Gilliard, two children; Kirk Gilliard (Mitzi) and Mimi Sorrells (Ben), One granddaughter; Ellie Gilliard. She was proceeded in death by her sister, Laverne Futch Page and grandson, Thomas Jace Sorrells.

Throughout her life, she exemplified compassion, strength and unwavering devotion to her loved ones. She reared and educated her children to be an attorney (Kirk) and a schoolteacher (Mimi). Her memory shall forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her, and her legacy shall continue to inspire generations to come.

The family will receive friends and family on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Wesley United Methodist Church from 1:00-2:00 PM.

Memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Wesley United Methodist Church 825 N. Belair Rd. Evans, GA.
