Kathree Canady Terry 5/18/1929 - 4/19/2018 Augusta, GA- Entered into rest on Thursday, April 19, 2018 Mrs. Kathree Canady Terry age 88 of Augusta, GA. after an extended illness. She was surrounded and loved by Her Daughter as she went to be with Her Lord. Kathree "Kat" was born in Soperton, Ga May 18,1929 to John & Ruby Canady After graduating High School, She decided to leave the comforts of Her home and move to the big City (Macon). Where she was loved and cared for by her Aunt & Uncle Gladys and Frank. Her Aunt Gladys and best friend Carrie Terry arranged a Blind Date with Carries son Mack Terry It was love at first site and they were together until his death in 1983. When she was a struggling young Bride She and two of her close friends walked into Friedman Jewelers on Cherry St. in Macon where she was hired on the spot. She became the First Female Manager in 1962. She retired after 40 years of service. Kat is preceded in Death by her Parents John and Ruby Canady, her youngest Brother John Doyce Canady Additional Survivors Her Daughter Debbie (David) Terry Collins Charleston,SC Grandson Adam Terry Griggs Collins New York City one Brother Veroy Canady Augusta, Ga Several Beloved nieces and nephews. Over the last several years, She depended on her trusted and loved Friend Mr. W. W. Thompson. The Celebration of Her Life will be today from 2 until 4 pm at Thomas L. King Funeral Home.
