Mrs. Katherine Anne Brooks Rogers, age 84, beloved wife of 65 years to Thomas P. Rogers, entered into rest Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at home with her loved ones by her side. Mrs. Rogers was born in Alto, TX to the late Pete and Elizabeth Sharpe Brooks. Mrs. Rogers was a member of Kiokee Baptist Church, a member of the Historical Society of Columbia County, and had been a secretary for Columbia County Board of Education. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister and will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 03, 2018 at Kiokee Baptist Church with Reverend Wes Gardner officiating. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rogers was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sandie Marie Williamson. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Rogers is also survived by a son, Derrick Allen Rogers (Jodie) of Grovetown, GA; 4 daughters, Angie Beacham (Patrick) of Evans, GA, LuEllen Worrell (James) of Atlanta, GA, Suzanne McCaslin (Clyde) of Evans, GA, and Rebecca King of Baneberry, TN, 2 sisters, Martha Biggs (Ray) and LuJayne Knicley, both of Anderson, TX; and 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
