Karen Brinson Lumpkin, born May 25th, 1957, entered into rest on March 17th, 2025. Karen is preceded in death by her parents Mary Hardin and Frank Brinson, her husband William H. Lumpkin, her partner George E. Vosler and her brother David Frank Brinson. Her living relatives include her son Nick Lumpkin (Megan Lumpkin), son Samuel Lumpkin and daughter Rebekah Anderson (Salvatore Anderson). She is also survived by her four grandchildren Charlotte Anderson, Elijah Anderson, Hudson Lumpkin and Rhett Lumpkin.

Karen spent her life raising her children, making her home and providing for her family by working in many different fields. She spent a great part of her career continuing a generations long business of fabricating custom window coverings for private customers and interior decorators alike. Her passion for her business was unmatched. She enjoyed building a relationship with every customer, being the friendly face when you visited the shop and being the kind voice on the other end of the phone when you called.

Karen's greatest joy over the last decade was her grandchilden. She spent as much time with them as anyone could. She taught them many things including cooking, cleaning, baking, and a love for classical music while doing all of those things. They enjoyed taking trips together to the mountains, fishing, antiquing, thrifting and even just sharing the same favorite TV programs together.

Karen will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held 12:00 PM Friday, March 21, 2025 at the Thomas L. King Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Jack Foley officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
